SHARES
This market is very competitive, so it's best to check before you sign up as to whether any terms have changed. Use companies which give you real time prices and limit trading. Be aware that almost all sites can run slowly at times. Some shares in small companies have to be traded by phone and there may be a delay in other cases in which case you can often leave an order with a limit.
Sites vary as to the amount of information easily available.
This is a selective list of the brokers mainly those which allow individual Crest membership which is strongly recommended and on-line trading - there are around 30 on-line stockbrokers in the UK.
