For its fourth edition, the International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) is heading back to İstanbul Expo Center, where it will run from January 6 to 9, 2027. Some 35,000 industry professionals from more than 150 countries are expected to join over 500 exhibitors, creating new routes for international trade and collaboration.
Istanbul, Türkiye: The International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) 2027 is scheduled to be held at the Istanbul Fair Center (İFM), running from January 6 to 9, 2027. Backed by the Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters Association (GAHIB) and the İstanbul Carpet Exporters Association (IHIB), the fair is organised by Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc.
The event brings together Türkiye’s global reputation in carpet manufacturing and the world of international trade, attracting a wide variety of professionals to Istanbul, among them interior designers, architects, chain stores, wholesalers, importers and manufacturers.
Carpet trade from around the world converges
International buyers will discover Türkiye’s production capacity, design know-how and strategically placed geography, and exhibitors, for their part, will be able to enter new markets, establish export links and develop partnerships worldwide.
ICFE 2027 is expected to welcome over 500 exhibitors and about 35,000 visitors, who will travel from more than 150 countries.
Professional buyers from key carpet and floor covering markets, including Germany, Italy, China, India, Belgium, the USA, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Central Asian countries, will be on hand for exhibitors looking to build new business relationships during the event.
A city position that boosts commerce
Istanbul lies at the crossroads between Europe and Asia, and its sophisticated transport and logistics infrastructure makes ICFE all the more attractive to an international audience.
Thanks to the city’s extensive direct flight network, sector professionals from every corner of the world find the fair easy to reach, and exhibitors gain access to multiple markets at a single venue.
Lower duty set to draw more foreign exhibitors

The Directorate General of Customs of the Republic of Türkiye’s Ministry of Trade has introduced a significant regulation intended to support the exhibition and increase participation from overseas. Under earlier customs legislation in Türkiye, products brought in by international exhibitors were subject to a temporary customs duty of 100% of their FOB (Free on Board) value, a rate now reduced to 10% exclusively for ICFE 2027.
Wide-ranging collaboration between public authorities and industry representatives led to the regulation, which is expected to lighten the financial burden on international companies exhibiting high-value products considerably. More countries are also likely to take part as a result, raising the international trade volume of the exhibition.
Creativity and know-how take centre stage
Alongside its commercial activity, ICFE 2027 will host a series of events aimed at encouraging innovation, the sharing of knowledge and industry growth.
Carpet Talks, which attracted strong interest in previous editions, will once again bring leading industry figures together to debate design, production, branding and how the sector is transforming.
Through the Carpet Design Awards, industry professionals will be introduced to original carpet designs, with innovative work showcased on an international stage. The Carpet Workshop, meanwhile, sets out to inspire visitors by having designers from various countries collaborate on production.
Bringing the trade together for business
ICFE 2027 gives manufacturers, exporters and importers, distributors, wholesalers and chain stores, architects and interior designers, as well as decorators and other professionals, a trade platform on which to explore new business opportunities.
During the event, participants will have opportunities to meet new suppliers, follow emerging industry trends, hold B2B meetings and expand their international business networks.
Building on a previous edition that hosted 445 exhibitors and 31,410 visitors from 127 countries, ICFE 2027 aims to strengthen its place among the world’s foremost carpet and flooring events through broader participation and increased international visibility.
